Avalon services may collect or maintain information relating to a property, including its address, characteristics, systems, equipment, maintenance history, repairs, improvements, projects, warranties, documents, photographs, service history, and other information used to support the Avalon Home Passport and related services.
Some property information may be obtained from homeowners, Realtors, service providers, public records, property-data providers, or other lawful sources.

Avalon may use a mobile telephone number you provide to send transactional or security-related text messages, including one-time passcodes used to verify your mobile number or authenticate an account or security-sensitive action.
Where required, Avalon obtains consent before sending SMS messages.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to operate our business and provide our services, including to service providers that perform functions on Avalon's behalf, such as hosting, communications, authentication, scheduling, payment processing, data services, analytics, security, and customer support.
These providers may access information only as necessary to perform services for Avalon and are expected to handle information appropriately.
We may also disclose information:

- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.
5. Home Passport and Property Information
The Avalon Home Passport is designed around the property.
Certain information may therefore form part of the continuing history of a property, including information concerning property characteristics, systems, maintenance, repairs, improvements, warranties, projects, and other property-related records.
A change in property ownership does not necessarily erase the historical record associated with the property.
Avalon distinguishes property-related information from information that is personal or private to a particular homeowner. Access to Home Passport information is governed by applicable Avalon account, authorization, ownership, and privacy controls.
Avalon does not intend for a change of property ownership to transfer a prior homeowner's private personal information to a subsequent homeowner.
6. Realtor and Professional Information
Avalon may verify professional information provided by Realtors or other professionals using licensing authorities, public records, professional organizations, documentation supplied by the professional, or other appropriate sources.
Professional credential information may be retained as part of Avalon's records concerning eligibility, verification, historical relationships, transactions, or services.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Avalon may use cookies and similar technologies to operate its websites and applications, maintain sessions, remember preferences, understand usage, improve performance, and help protect our services.
Where required by law, Avalon will provide appropriate choices regarding non-essential cookies or similar technologies.
8. Data Security
Avalon uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.
No information system or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should protect their account credentials and promptly notify Avalon of suspected unauthorized account activity.
9. Data Retention
Avalon retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to provide and maintain services, preserve legitimate property or transaction records, satisfy legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect Avalon and its users.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the service involved.
10. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your relationship with Avalon and applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information.
Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction, property-history, or legitimate business purposes.
You may manage certain communications through the methods provided in those communications.

Avalon's services are not directed to children under 13, and Avalon does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through services intended for general consumers.
If Avalon learns that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected improperly, we will take appropriate steps to address it.
12. Third-Party Services and Links
Avalon services may integrate with or link to third-party services.
Those third parties may maintain their own privacy practices and policies. This Privacy Policy does not govern independent third-party services that are not controlled by Avalon.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
