Avalon Craftsman SMS Verification Opt-In
Avalon Craftsman uses SMS during Realtor Partner registration to verify a user's mobile phone number. SMS verification messages are initiated only after the user provides a mobile number and affirmatively selects the SMS consent checkbox.
The screenshots below document the user opt-in and verification workflow presented during Avalon Realtor Partner registration.
Privacy notice: The last four digits of the mobile phone number used during testing have been redacted in all screenshots below to protect personal information. The visible digits 1334332 represent only the first seven digits of the number; the final four digits have been removed.
Step 1: Mobile Number and SMS Consent
The user provides a mobile phone number during Avalon Realtor Partner registration. The SMS verification action remains unavailable until the user affirmatively provides consent.
Step 2: User Provides Affirmative Consent
The user affirmatively selects the SMS consent checkbox before requesting a verification message. The disclosure states that message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and users may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Links to Avalon's Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions are provided with the disclosure.
Step 3: SMS Verification Code Requested
After providing consent and selecting Send Verification Code, the user is presented with the six-digit verification-code entry step used to verify the mobile number.
